Steps for using a fire extinguisher:

1. Remove extinguisher from wall.
2. Pull safety pin.
3. Grip end of hose with left hand while gripping pressure release valve with right.
4. With a sweeping motion, spray fire suppression material at base of flames.
5. Try to avoid blowing the flames and/or fire suppression material into the faces of people around you.
